Would you like to have an Equine Portrait Photography Session but something is holding you back?

Would you quite like to have an Equine Portrait Photography session but worry that your horse will misbehave, your location is not the most idyllic, you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera or think maybe it’s just a bit pretentious to have a photo shoot with your horse?

The chances are at least one, if not all, will apply to you……. but they shouldn’t.

First off, I’m an Equine Portrait Photographer who is incredibly experienced around horses. I’m BHS Stage 4 qualified, just to give you an idea, so I know exactly what they can be like. I know that they can be the most laid back sweetheart one day and then the next day, literally anything will cause them to spook.

I will not be judging you or your horse and no matter what sort of mood they are in on the day of the shoot, I know of ways to deal with it, so we still get beautiful images of you both.

As for you location, no matter how uninspiring you think it is, I have a tendency to see the beauty in anything. It surprising what a little creative thinking, cropping and angles can do and I’m sure I will find some little gems in your location.

I know having your photo taken can be nerve wracking and you may also feel it’s a little pretentious.

I am not expecting you to be like an experienced model, nor do I want your images to look like they have come out of a fashion magazine.

I guide you through the whole process and will direct you into natural poses to let the bond you have with your horse show naturally. Rather than taking images overworked and completely out of the ordinary that you may feel embarrassed to display on your walls, I want these images to show the true relationship you have with your horse, for the images to look effortlessly elegant and timeless, and to capture real moments.

When the images look natural, there is no reason to feel it’s pretentious. These are your important memories, and documenting these is what makes life special. When time has passed and you don’t have these precious moments to look back on with stunning images that really show your true relationship, memories can begin to fade and when you have so much love for your best friend and have spent so much time together, this is a huge thing to be missing out on.

You may not realise the importance of a beautiful image until it’s the only thing you have left.
