Why I Only Use Professional Framers and Printers

Posted on March 2, 2021 by Ruth Ellen Photography under Equine Photography

Wall art is an investment.

Well presented and quality wall art brings effortless style and interest to your home without the clutter.

Beautiful wall art makes your house feel like a home.

If you have been following me for a while you will know just how important I believe it is to print your images, as well as wanting to give you at least one, printed product with your favourite image. I will take care of you order and have your products delivered direct to your chosen address.

So why do I use professional framing (and printing)?

When something is hanging on your wall for all to see (and for you to see everyday), it has to look the best it can be, to be enjoyed to it’s full potential.

1. Professional framing ensures the print does not touch the glass, meaning if condensation gets in, the print will not stick to the glass, which not only causes damage to the print, it also doesn’t look very pleasant when hanging on a wall.

2. The glass is sealed to the mount providing longevity, avoiding dust and insects appearing in the print at a later date, while also having a process to ensure there is no dust on the glass, print or mount when they are sealed.

3. The print is placed on an adhesive board to ensure it remains completely flat and smooth and does not ripple or curl.

4. The overall quality is made to a very high standard and the corners of the frame will join neatly and precisely with no gaps.

5. I have also chosen Anti-Reflective Art Glass as standard with all my frames which provides outstanding colour reproduction as the glass reduces the glare of natural light to the print, which means the glass is barely visible, has no colour tint, which some standard glass has, and shows a lot less reflection (sometimes it looks like there is no glass).

6. The images are printed on high quality Ultra-White paper which provides excellent image and colour quality. It has a slight sheen with vibrant, rich and deep colours. It’s tough, instant dry, resin coated 271gsm paper is finished with a UV protective, microporous supercoat giving it a high degree of water and fade resistance.

7. I have also chosen for all framed images to be double mounted as standard, just to give it that extra bit of detail and elegance.

I also have four types of frames to choose from in various widths and colours so we can find one to suit your room decor and I’ll be on hand to help guide you through the process.

Just something else to add……

Don’t fear that at your viewing I will be pressuring you to buy additional products. If all you want is the frame included in your session, that’s absolutely fine. I am just there to guide and help you, if you are feeling overwhelmed with choice or need some advice.
