Why have an Equine Portrait Session?

Posted on August 8, 2019 by Ruth Ellen Photography under Equine Photography

So the only photos I have of the ponies and horses I had as a kid are very basic and they don’t show their personality or the bond we shared.

I knew these photos weren’t great, but at the time, they seemed good enough.

This is a small selection and the best I could find of a pony I had on loan as a kid. The first photo is getting close and bless my Dad, he did his best. But none of these photos really captured his personality (he was a sweetheart, but had his cheeky moments), sum up our relationship and bond or are something I would frame.

Although I have my memories, it’s not quite the same as looking at an image that captures something more and really takes you back, reminding you it was real!

This pony made my teenage years and was such an influence on the rest of my life. I really wish I had a gorgeous image of us both that I could hang on my wall at home to remind me every day of this special pony and important time in my life.

What was I wearing!
